Some Features of Iowa ASCD

• Has a membership of nearly 700 Iowa educators.

• Publishes newsletters, Iowa Educational Leadership, and other informative pieces.

• Works with state legislators, the Iowa Department of Education, and committees to inform and influence state education policy.

• Sponsors conferences and other professional development opportunities throughout the year. Its newest effort is the Iowa ASCD Curriculum Leadership Academy that has a three-year curriculum.

• Provides opportunities for participation on numerous Iowa ASCD committees.
